14.2 14yo Welsh x tb mare for full loan. We have had Evie for 4 years. I am going back to university in September and she deserves more attention.
She is very sweet loves attention, never marish with people but flirts with geldings. Loves dogs (will try to follow dog walkers out hacking, tries to say hello when barked at), and happy with our cat in her stable. Non horsey dad feeds her apples. Good to catch, shoe, clip, travels in trailer.
To ride she is a small horse rather than a pony. Loves going out to dressage shows and lessons. I have only done a few prelim classes with her, qualifying Sunshine Tour and 5th at Dressage at Hickstead championships. She did Novice in her previous home, and her full brother is PFEI.
She is not a jumping horse, she has done small grids with me but this is not really her thing, as she is very careful and loses confidence very easily. Loves polework. Has been to the beach.
Her hacking has improved since we’ve had her, we have no school at home so have to hack down the lane (both alone and with other horses) to ride. Have met lorries, tractors, bikes, motorbikes, trailers regularly, but she does require riding.
She is sharp and can be spooky, not an on the buckle ride or bombproof. She is sharper in winter and when it’s windy. No hunting. She is not for your novice 10yo daughter, for getting back in the saddle, or a happy hacker.
She is fine to be left for a few weeks and get back on, in the sense that she’s not any more sharp than she already is! But I get better work out of her when she is ridden consistently. Good to lunge, but not something we do much of.
No known health issues, sweet itch or laminitis. Never been lame with us.
The absolute biggest saddle seat size she can take is 16.5”, so you will need to be able to ride in this.
We love her very much but she needs someone new to have fun with.
Please only WhatsApp me, for videos. I won’t answer any calls. Thanks...Read full description
