14.2hh D registered Bay mare, 12 years old. Currently living out in a mixed group, happy, fat and fluffy in her winter woolies but equally happy to live in with hoomans waiting on her hand and hoof. This princess loves spoiling but also needs strict boundaries otherwise diva mode will be installed, aka Welsh witch mode. She’s not nasty, but will take the mick if she can and likes to see what she can get away with, she is a teenage girl after all, therefore she not suited for a novice.
She has mainly been ridden by my 11 year old son (we got her when he was 8) and adults. She’s schools nicely on the flat, occasionally she’ll try and tell you she’s in charge and have a buck/spook, but a kick and shout she soon realises she’s not that brave to try it on and princess mode is restored. She’s forward and responsive, not a kick along type but equally doesn’t pull your shoulders out! She goes in an outline, her canter is big and active, she gives a nice ride. She’s good to hack, in company - we have never hacked her alone, she is a princess after all! She loves a jump, has taken my son around local sj competitions, she has a big, bold jump. Unfortunately she’s so bold that when loose schooling over the summer she tried to take a stride out at 1:30m and in the process tweaked her front tendon. She’s been in the field since, enjoying life. She’s sound and ready to be brought back into work. Would make someone a nice hack/dressage pony, with time and tlc she’ll hopefully come back to jumping. Alternatively she could make a nice mummy. The right home and person is most important, if you want her for your inexperienced child/elderly granny, are a bit nervous or want to go out jumping everyday she’s not for you. But if you're confident, enjoy a fun ride that will occasionally keep you on your toes, love to spoil your horses then please enquire for more information. Due to the above, she’s not mega ...Read full description
