Squiggle is a fun loving mare, she has always been great to hack out alone and in company, she has always been good in traffic, never been strong in open fields. She has had horses canter past her and off into the distance and not been bothered. She has given me so much confidence and introduced me back into jumping after a break, she really enjoys jumping and will happily step up a gear however has also come in at trot when asked. She is forward going but always has been snaffled mouthed with me.
Squiggle has had many successes in the show ring, this year her results are;
1st Ridden Cobblets at Equifest 2019
1st novice working hunter at TOYs 2019
Reserve champion working hunter at TOYs 2019
1st part bred ridden at TOYs 2019
2nd ridden part bred at TOYs 2019
Reserve champion part bread at TOYs 2019
Reserve silver ticket champion at TOYs
9th at Royal International Horse show 2019 and qualified for amateur championship
1st and reserve champion part bred tgca at Lawford park horse show 2019
1st x2 and champion tendring hundred riding club 2019
1st and qualified for Royal International horse show 2019
Squiggle has also been 2nd at Royal International horse show in 2014.
We bought squiggle to show at HOYs level however we have found she gets nervous in the big buzzy atmosphere where there is a lot of screaming and cheering and therefore have come to the very heart breaking decision that she would suit a more local showing or alrouder type home. She has had a very successful year with us and we feel this is the level of showing she is happy with and not the next level up.
She has always been good to shoe, box, trim, teeth (I have not needed to clip her but imagine she would be good). Squiggle has always been easy to catch, bring in, tack up.
