A handsome detached country cottage dating back to Victorian times and formerly the village school but now extended with potential to further extend. The property stands in grounds of around 1.22 acres (sts) including gardens and grass paddock at the rear, affording the potential to keep animals or engage in horticultural interests, hobbyfarm or CL site, subject to any planning permission which may be required. 4 bedrooms, e/s shower room, bathroom, hall, utility/cloaks, 2 receps, superb dining kitchen, second shower room, conservatory, hallway and large landingDirections From Louth take the A16 road south for approximately 10 miles and at the Ulceby Cross roundabout take the second exit along the A1028. Follow the long, straight road and immediately after the sharp right bend take the small left turning onto Psalter Road and follow this lane to where it concludes in Skendleby Psalter. Turn left here, proceed to the junction and bear right into Willoughby village. In the village centre, after the sharp right bend take the left turn onto Bonthorpe Road. Proceed to Bonthorpe and then keep right where the lane forks and continue to Cumberworth village. Proceed until The Old School is found on the right side.

The Property Archived records which can be found in the "Lincs from the Past" website indicate that the property was built as a national school in 1874. The school was then closed between October 1915 and January 1920 while the headmistress carried out nursing duties in France. By 1925, only juniors and infants were being taught there. The school was finally closed on the 5th August 1927. The property is of solid brick and brick-faced cavity wall construction with particularly attractive decorative brick facings beneath a Rosemary tiled roof. The windows have been replaced with uPVC double-glazed units and the property has an oil-fired central heating system with a combination boiler positioned externally.

Location Cumberworth is a small rural village approximately 5 miles from Alford and equally some 5 miles from the coast, where Chapel St. Leonards is the nearest main village. Skegness is about 9 miles away while the main business centre of Lincoln is about 40 miles inland. The area combines local market town and village facilities with a combination of mainly agricultural land and an emphasis on tourism along the coast with contrasting resorts and open nature reserves, together with sandy beaches which extend for miles. The village is within the catchment area of the John Spendluffe school and the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Alford.
