Top potential all rounder

Zeb is a beautiful homebred welsh section d looking for his partner in crime.

He is the ultimate allrounder ready to get out there and have some fun.

He has a fabulous jump but his flat work although still needing work is where he really shines. He’s got a brain and loves his work. Relatively green still, he’s not a novice ride as he takes his confidence from his rider and needs someone with the knowledge to really bring out his potential.

He will hack out alone and in company, first or last, great in open spaces. He regularly hacks out in our local national park where I can open him up and bring him back to ride on the buckle with no issue. He has seen all manner of traffic and although he can have a wobble, he will ride past everything just sometimes likes to look. He has been brought on slowly mostly due to my lack of time but he has seen both natural and coloured fences proving bold and honest. He has been round a small farm ride when newly backed and we hope to take him out to Somerford to school him over some of the arena cross country fences. We have had him out at a dressage clinic and taken him to a local arena hire to school over a course of fences. We have done an unaffiliated dressage comp gaining 65% with great comments from the judge. He loads and travels but does sweat up. He is always ridden in a snaffle and will come with his made to measure Black Country saddle. He’s up to date with vaccinations dentist and regularly seen the physio, great with the vet and farrier, good to catch and load.

He is by no means a dope on a rope, even if he is more woah than go, if you are not firm but fair he will walk all over you in typical welsh d style. He has one hell of a brain and if not used he will make his own fun, there’s not a bad bone in his body but he’s definitely the class clown with hints of genius in there. He spent most of this year out on loan having fun with a young rider unfortunately Zeb still needs someone to show him the ropes and this is what I hope to find him.

He has spent the last few months with us gaining more experience and we will continue to do this with him up to February when I intend to find him a long term loan home.

What I want for Zeb is to find him a home where he will be doing loads not necessarily the most competitive but with someone who just wants to get out and do everything and anything.

In an ideal world I would love for him to go to a knowledgeable pony club home to an older teenager who wants to put their own stamp on a young talented horse and work their way up. He would also be a great mother/daughter share or an older person wanting to do all manner of riding club, BD, low level BE, he really will be someone’s absolute horse of a life time.

I am putting his ad out early as he is a sensitive soul and as such I need to find the appropriate home for him. He can take some time to settle when going new places, when he came back home we put him on a calming supplement for a month which helped massively and once settled into his new routine he was fine. Going new places he is a bit Bolshey but once on board and riding he is as good as gold he just needs a confident rider to get on and get going. To show him he can do it and no doubt the more he does the less he’ll need from his rider.

He is currently stabled near Macclesfield with my friend who is riding him for me and will continue to do so but if the right person where to come along and was near by and is willing to travel out a few times we would be interested in having you come and ride him to see if he’s really what you want and what he needs.
