Lovely little horse,Started late in life so very low mileage.

Poppy is a 15.1 Welsh D, she is 15 years old, but backed late in life, so is very low mileage, we are in contact with her breeder and know her full history. I have owned her for the past 3 years and her education only really started then. She’s a quick learner and will always try her heart out.

If you wanted to ride her with a loose rain and bumble around you can and if you want to pick her up and ride her, she’s also happy to go in an outline.

She can be a bit nervous at times and needs a calm rider who will help her when needed. She’s not naughty in any way, she has never bolted, reared or tried to run off.

At home she is working at Novice/elementry level and her lateral work is extremely good. She has also been to a dressage camp and really held her own and didn’t put a foot out of place.

If someone can give Poppy the time, take her out and show her life, they will get so much from her. I get to ride two/three times a week if I’m lucky and she deserved to be someone’s everything.

She has been XC schooling and water and ditches are no problem, she will canter straight into water without batting an eye lid and I’ve had the odd show jumping lesson/course hire and once she realises the poles won’t eat her she is more than happy popping round, so again if someone wanted to put the time into jumping, I’m sure she would excel. Unlike me that does it once every 6 months.

We gave showing a go last summer and she excelled, she is most at home and relaxed on grass and with other horses, so showing suited her well and she won most of what she went in and she really looks the part to.

She travels like a dream, good for the farrier, good to clip, dentist, she hasn’t got a nasty bone in her body and her behaviour on the floor is impeccable, my 8year old can get her in, brush her etc etc she has never kicked or bitten.

She currently lives out 24/7 because that’s how we like our horses to live, but she would be more than happy coming in.

She has regular massages and physio (because I like to make sure she’s good, not because she needs it), she’s up to date with vaccinations and teeth.

She has a WOW saddle that’s just been checked, this can come with her at an additional cost.
