Create my profile now!Blaze is a 10.2hh roughly, Shetland x.
Blaze was baught for my 2 year old autistic non verbal son, who has taken to enjoying more of the non ridden side of having horses and his younger sister has just turned one and can't take on the exercise responsibilities Blaze requires.
Blaze has been around children ages 7 months old up to 10 years old. Hes been around buggies, dogs, cars, boxes and trailers and not fazed by them. I can take my kids out in his field with the buggy and poo pick and Blaze will be cautiously and carefully watching making sure they’re in front of him and safe.
Blaze is the most amazing lead rein pony. Blaze has been ridden off the lead rein but not a lot due to having younger inexperienced riders currently. Blaze would also be a perfect first/second ridden pony. Blaze has been trained vocally as he preferred this way of training and is learning to listen to the leg more (still prefers voice commands) but is working hard to adapt to the change.
Blaze loves jumping and will happily pop a course. He’s currently jumped up to 50cm with a rider but could easily go higher with the right rider.
Blaze is very wise beyond his years and already knows how to adapt to his riders abilities.
Hes very confident to load and travel in any equine transport, does need to be boxed in a lorry due to his size. Wasn't fased when we stopped at the service staion to give him a break and check on him when we braught him home. Even got off the box to graze in the car park.
He can be a bit fidgetly when tied up but give him a hay net or a fuss and hell settle very quickly.
Blaze really needs some sharers or a loaner to help exercise him and help him explore more about his riding education. He would excel at gymkanah, pony club, jumping, competing and even in hand showing. He just loves learning.
To say new situations don't fase him is an understatement. He really is 1 in a million and parents dream.
