"Teddy" Dun Gelding Lead Rein/First Ridden Pony

A heart breaking post I’ve been desperately putting off.

True to the type - full of character but in my opinion a type hard to come by, anyone who knows Welshies will adore him. Ted is a proven lead rein pony in this home & the one before, he would also be suited as a 1.5 pony for a more experienced child. He can pick up the pace to suit his rider & can slow the pace for the littlest of riders. My daughter has ridden him while being lead off another horse & he’s good as gold. He hacks out alone & doesn’t act silly on grass (on the lead rein, I can’t comment off as we haven’t used him for that). He is handled by young children regularly, & can be brought in after having weeks off and be ridden as if he was ridden yesterday. He is used to my children jumping around, shouting unexpectedly, he will stand for ages to be groomed, my kids can muck out around him & he is kind and accepting of them.

He is easy to do in all ways, farrier, dentist, physio, clip, catch, load ect. He has done pony club in a previous home & local shows with us. He is update to date with, farrier physio & dentist.

As much as my children love him, they really just aren’t interested in riding him or seeing him regularly & I just can’t warrant his keep anymore.

His home is important to us, he will only go to a home that is suited.
