"Soldier Blue " White Gelding All Rounder

Soldier Blue is a much-loved pony who I backed myself and have had 5 fantastic years with.

In that time he has done a bit of everything, including showjumping, cross country, fun rides, beach rides, lots of hacking, and games such as barrel racing, pole bending and gymkhanas. I have also done a lot of groundwork with him, building a strong partnership. He is a true all-rounder who enjoys a varied life.

When fit, he will happily and comfortably jump a course of 80cm.

He lives on a farm, so is very familiar with sheep, dogs, pigs, and cattle. He is also not fazed by traffic, and will hack sensibly out alone or in company.

He has always been a genuine, kind pony and has never put a foot wrong with me. However, he is not a novice ride. He has been ridden by confident riders, and if not ridden positively in the school he can take advantage and do his own thing (nothing naughty, just not a riding school “autopilot” type). For a capable rider, he is a fun and very rewarding pony.

He is generally laid-back and a “kick along” ride 90% of the time, but will happily pick up the pace when asked. He would suit a confident teenager, small adult, or a mother/daughter share looking for enjoyable all-rounder.

Soldier Blue has no vices and is easy to handle in all ways – good to catch, lead, handle, and with the farrier. He is currently living out 24/7, barefoot and unrugged, and is very low maintenance. He is also used as a children’s therapy pony in our family business, which reflects his kind and genuine nature.

Very sad sale due to being at university and no longer having the time he deserves. A very special pony looking for the right home. Serious enquiries only as finding him the best home is very important.
