Companion/ project pony
Basil is an 12 yr old 11.2 Welsh section A pony who we have owned for just over 6 years now. In the time we’ve had basil he hasn’t done loads as he was bought for my niece and nephew who then lost interest. He is a little nervous around new people but once he trusts you he is very sweet and loving pony we don’t know much about his past but don’t think he has had the best start as he came to us quite nervous which we have improved a lot on and he has come along way. He has mainly been a lead rein pony in his previous homes and he was very good with my niece and nephew when we first got him but has been out of work for the last 3 years. We have tried to bring him back into work at the beginning of 2023 but due to not having a confident and small enough rider he was only ridden a handful of times. He was a little excitable coming back into work so would need a confident rider he is green off the Lead rein but has a great attitude. He has great paces and think he would make a great showing pony in the future.
Absolutely adore this pony and I am in no rush but he’s just wasted with us and would love to see him reach his full potential!
Also would be happy for him to be a companion pony. (Can be left alone. Will live in or out with mares/ geldings)
Great for vet and farrier
Can crib/windsuck.
Homes will be vetted!
