"April" Dun Mare Project Horse
💛 4yo Cob Mare– Sweet, Stocky & Full of Potential 💛 based Norfolk/Suffolk border.
Very sad sale of my lovely pony due to a change in personal circumstances after recently having a baby. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but she deserves the time and attention I can no longer give her.
She is a 4-year-old cob mare, currently standing 13.1/13.2, still a little bum high with plenty of growing to do. I expect her to mature to around 13.3hh. She is very stocky, with great bone and a proper cob build.
She is being sold unbroken straight from the field. We have done basic groundwork, and she has been handled regularly. She has the most sweet, curious nature, loves attention, and is particularly good with children. She is very people-oriented and confident, so can occasionally be a bit cheeky and needs reminding of her manners, but she is respectful and responds well to firm, fair handling. Therefore not suitable for a novice, needs someone who has experience with young horses.
Good to catch, handle, vet and farrier. She is fully up to date with vaccinations, including strangles.
Her one vice is fencing. She is a nosy little lady and will test boundaries, so she must have post and rail fencing as she is known to explore where she shouldn’t if given the chance.
Given the time to mature, I truly believe she will make an excellent pony for a child or small adult. She has the temperament and presence to be something really special.
