Business
New Beginnings is a registered Charity, who retrain and re-home former racehorses.
We look for long term permanent loan homes for our horses under a permanent loan contract.
If you are looking for a horse to bring on and sell for a profit, then our process is not for you.
If you are looking for a horse to bring on and be your next best friend, and be part of your family, then please read on.

Every horse is schooled and retrained before we enter it onto our rehoming programme.
When a horse comes into New Beginnings we ask for the clinical history. This gives us as much information about the horse’s past as we can get.
We pass this information onto the potential loaner, giving you the security that nothing is withheld, we will tell you everything that we know.
The horse will have been with us for anything from 6 months to a year, so we know the horse inside out, this gives us the knowledge to match you to the right horse.
We spend time with you looking at your way of riding to make sure that we make the perfect match.

We offer on-site guidance and coaching before you take the horse home, we will support you with the transition to settle the horse in to the new environment and offer ongoing advice and support to help you should you need it.

Loaning a horse gives you the total responsibility for the horse as if they are your own but, gives the horse a secure future with us should anything change, and you can no longer keep it.
The loan process also gives you the peace of mind that we are here to support you and our horse if you need us.

There is a £25 visiting fee which starts this process off.
A rehoming fee between £1,000 and £2,000 depending on the horse’s ability, age etc.

We will have invested much more in the horse than the rehoming fee, but we need the rehoming fee to help recoup some of that cost.
