Broadcast Legend Sara Cox Joins Stars At Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials

NEWS RELEASE: 21/08/2024

Sara Cox, Radio DJ, presenter and author will be meeting up with top eventers and their fans when she attends Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials on Saturday 21 September. No stranger to horses, Sara who owns Nellie an Irish Draught cross Thoroughbred mare, is a big fan of eventing and can’t wait to help the team at the Horse Trials open up the spectacle to a wider audience.

The broadcast legend will be supporting the Horse Trials with social media posts and interviewing riders as they finish the cross-country phase on Saturday 21 September. She will also be sharing a special promotional code for tickets with her social media followers.

“Watching eventing live is one of my favourite horsey things to do – apart from riding my lovely Nellie,” said Sara. “Where else do you get the opportunity to see three equine sports in one event and be truly in awe of the amazing horses and riders who take on huge cross-country fences as well as dancing delicately in the dressage phase. My favourite part is the showjumping – some people might remember me being in ‘Only Fools on Horses’ back in 2006, a TV showjumping competition which raised over £250,000 for Sport Relief, so I can relate a little bit to the riders here and the skill they all so obviously have.”

Horse Trials Event Organiser, Katrina Midgley adds, “We are really looking forward to working with Sara.  She is a great representative of all horse owners and a true fan of the sport. I can’t wait to hear her chats with the riders – I am sure it will be very entertaining. Come along and enjoy the event and bring your families, friends and your dogs.”

Tickets can be booked through the box office here
