I saw Sam recommended on social media for horse transport, and he absolutely lived up to the recommendations. He was quick to respond to my email enquiry, was professional and pleasant to communicate with and quoted fairly. On the day of transport he arrived promptly and was incredibly professional, calm and kind, he helped to load and unload both horses and they arrived at their destinations on time, calm, happy and completely unscathed. The previous days adverse weather conditions had caused a lot of flooding and Sam was happy to be advised of a detour that turned out to be unnecessary (but better safe than sorry!), which he navigated with no problem. I highly recommend Dorset Smallholding and Sam will be the first person I contact should I need to move anything I can't fit in a cat basket! Thanks again Sam.

What a great experience! I normally dread the transportation of emu, but Sam was brilliant. We discussed the emu we had to fetch, how we'd go about it and which trailer would be better suited and went for the option with a partition and back door. They travelled from Hertfordshire to West Dorset with ease on the thick hay bedding. Sam made this an enjoyable and fun experience, rather than one filled with dread. His care for the animals he collects is obvious and they were handled and loaded as they should have been, with due dilligence and welfare for the animal a priority. I shall be using Sam for all my emu movements from now on! Thank you!

Dorset smallholding provided an exceptionally caring and professional service during our recent yard move with a horse and pony. Communication, from booking on wards, was really good. Sam was extremely knowledgeable and patient when one of the equines proved exceptionally difficult to load, and his good advice certainly contributed to a successful outcome to a difficult day.Much appreciated.

The booking process was so easy together with the communication that followed. This is the third time I have used Sam who is always very helpful, calm and knowledgeable. It was reassuring to know that my two ponies were in "good hands" and would be treated with respect. Will definitely use Dorset Smallholding for any transport in the future.

Excellent service, would recommend to anyone who would want horse or pony transport. My pony was delivered from Dorset to south Shropshire, arrived cool and calm and Sam after delivery didn't just rush off, made sure Milly and I were both happy!! He really knows what he is doing and does it well!
