About Lead Rein & First Ridden Ponies
Temperament matters more than anything else in this category. Look for a pony with a proven track record with young children, ideally one you can see ridden by a child of similar age and ability to yours before buying. Quality lead rein and first ridden ponies are in consistent demand. Expect to pay from around £2,000 to £6,000 or more for a pony with a genuine Pony Club or showing record.
