Scooby was my first pony and has been with me for 9 years so this is a very hard decision and it is super important to me that he goes to a great home above anything else.
Scooby was diagnosed with cushings in 2023, he has since then been laminitis free. He has been medicated since. His bloods have been done frequently with his last levels sitting exactly where we wanted them.
Scooby can be ridden although has been out of work for a year due to me being too big for him. When I did ride him he did have his quirks but nothing even a rider moving onto their second pony could handle. He does jump but I have never been consistent with it, he is boom proof in every aspect of his life, he hacks alone or with company and can live out with correct management. He currently stays in and goes out during the day, he is muzzled but this is more so a precaution as he has gone without before and managed well. He is the easiest pony on the yard to manage in every aspect. He has been barefoot his whole time with me. Scooby is confident around all animals and surroundings, I genuinely don’t know the last time he’s spooked at anything. I am more than happy to have Scooby brought into work but he would also suit as a companion pony as he gets on with everyone, he is even turned out beside a stallion.
Since Scooby has been diagnosed he has cost me no more than he did before.
I am more than happy to be involved in his life and to help with any questions and concerns that may arise.
Homes will be vetted.
