**6yo | 16.1hh | Bay | Thoroughbred Mare**
**By Scorpion x Sinamas**
Scorpion’s Whisper is a lovely 6-year-old, 16.1hh bay Thoroughbred mare who I am reluctantly looking to find a new home for.
I bought her late last year as a project. She had come straight from the field and had been unridden for approximately 3 years. She was sold to me as having previously been in racing training but never raced as she was considered too slow. Once I got her home, it became apparent that she had actually had very little work done with her, so I have had to take my time and restart her properly.
She has not been the easiest project and it has taken a lot of time, patience and consistency to get her to where she is today. However, she has come a long way and I am really pleased with her progress.
She is now **riding away, hacking in company and has started hacking alone**. She is still very green in the school, as you would expect from a horse with her limited education, but she is beginning to work nicely and is showing that she has the potential to progress with the right person.
She has **never shown any nastiness or dangerous behaviour since being ridden away**. However, she is a Thoroughbred and can be sharp and reactive, so I would not describe her as a novice ride. She needs a confident, competent rider who understands a green TB and is happy to continue her education.
Handling & Care
She is good to handle and is **easy to catch and shoe**.
She is currently shod with **front shoes only**.
She is fully up to date with:
- Teeth
- Back
- Vaccinations
- Farrier
She is a straightforward horse to deal with on the ground and has been handled regularly throughout her time with me.
Scorpions Whisper is a **late starter**, and I think she would suit someone who is looking for a project and wants to take a horse through the next stage of its education.
She would particularly suit a **younger, confident rider with experience of green horses/TBs**, who wants the satisfaction of bringing on a horse themselves rather than buying something completely established.
She is **not a novice ride** and I would be looking for the right experience and home rather than simply the first person who wants her.
The reason for sale is purely that I don't have the amount of time she now needs to continue progressing as quickly as she could, and realistically I am also looking for something **smaller and more established for myself**, being only 5ft.
I am **not in a rush to sell her**. If the right home doesn't come along, I am perfectly happy to keep her and continue her education myself. Finding the right home is much more important to me than making a quick sale.
I am happy to provide further photos, videos and information to genuinely interested homes.
Please feel free to message me with some information about yourself, your experience and what you are looking for in your next horse.
