*Ramiro B* 15.1 grey mare, 6 years old,
I bought Lainey last spring after losing my absolute world. She had been out and about at her previous home, doing dressage, jumping, pole clinics, hacking alone, in company and on fun rides, proving sane and sensible. Unfortunately with me she’s hardly done anything until recently.
Lainey is now being slowly and sympathetically brought back into work. She hacks alone and in company, standing perfectly at junctions and unfazed by buses, cars, motorbikes etc. she is perfect in open fields, never strong or silly, is happy to just plod along if that’s what you want, or will take you for a lovely controlled canter. She has started some schooling work also but due to her fitness level and uneven school surface, this has been kept to the bear minimum. She is such a lovely horse who deserves to be with someone who can keep her ticking over and give her the time she deserves.
Lainey absolutely loves attention and will stand all day to be brushed, clipped etc
She is stunning!
She is a sweetheart who melts your heart.
Hacks alone and in company. Happy to go first or last. Isn’t strong or silly. Not phased by traffic.
She moves like a dream
Can be turned out on her own or in company
She enjoys work and will definitely go far in the right hands. She was bred to event.
Good to load.
Good to shoe
She comes to call and loves her stable
She sailed through a 5 stage vetting when I got her and has no lumps, bumps or scars
She did a stint on a water treadmill and was perfectly straight
And of course her breeding
Lovely manners on the ground.
Lainey does have a pollen allergy. This was not known when I brought her and left me on the back foot when it started. It is manageable with the right supplements, care etc.
She can be ridden with a nose and eye net. She also has a full fly riding rug, which I haven’t needed to use. I haven’t had her allergy tested but it does appear to be related to tree pollen as when that’s high, she seems to suffer more. She’s had the insol injection this year as well as the vets have seen positive results with it.
She is a mare and can pull faces but absolutely no malice.
She does need a job. She was a little tricky to bring back into work after such a long time off, and did put a rear in. However after 3 rides, she was back to her old self. She doesn’t need riding everyday, just regularly. I have had to accept I just do not have the time, energy or incliniation to do what’s needed.
She is stunning horse who will go far in the right hands. She has all the basics and just needs education.
