A very inquisitive fella who loves to be around other horses and people. Would spend hours being fussed and groomed. He is incredibly friendly, cheeky and doesn't have a bad bone in his body!
Currently competing successfully at novice level dressage achieving high 60's with positive comments. Working well at elementary level at home. Jumps 70cm with ease and has jumped the odd jump at 80-1m for fun. I would say he is still pretty green with jumping, but has a bold, scopey jump and picks those knees up! Awesome at XC!
Has championship titles over the years from our Haflinger nationals, including: dressage champ, novice ridden champ, reserve open ridden champ, reserve style and performance champ and reserve supreme champ.
Hacks alone and in company - he's pretty good - very nosey and likes looking around everywhere! Has always happily followed behind when cantering out.
Good to load, can be a little hesitant but will load within a minute or so.
Perfect for dentist and vet.
Good for farrier but can be annoying as doesn't leave him alone 😂
Has always been in a snaffle.
No horse is 100% perfect and here are his non-perfect bits!
He does have mallenders which require daily maintenance to prevent flare ups.
Requires some limited grazing and more importantly regular exercise.
He can become giddy and a bit excitable (never nasty). Alternatively he can be a bit of a 'go slow', more so at competitions.
He would suit a busy rider who enjoys a range of activities who isn't too fussed about competing every week, but would enjoy fun rides and clinics.
Genuinely heartbroken to let this special boy go.
MUST go to an experienced 5* home with a good knowledge of the breed or willing to research about the maintenance of Haflingers. He deserves the best.
Tack and rugs can be included at a cost.
POA.
