Probably around 14'1hh, to finish about 14'3hh. Easily carries a small adult (I'm 5'4" and about 54kgs)
He is polite to handle and has no vices.
Smartie lives out most of the time and comes in for a short while during the day when he's ridden. He is kind with other horses and good to catch!
A kind person on the ground, enjoys human company and being groomed. Stands quietly to be tacked up and is good for the farrier.
He's used to my 7yo running around and is good with dogs.
Under saddle he has a very good brain. He stands to be mounted from the mounting block or the ground. I have him hacking out alone or in company.
Smartie has 3 pleasing paces and he is a really forward thinking pony.
He seems to be quite confident with the traffic and has experienced lots of goings on riding through the built up parts of the village. Smartie marches on with purpose.
Smartie is snaffle mouthed and has a soft, confident connection with the bit, he's easy to turn and understands the basic aids.
I believe Smartie would make a lovely Happy Hacker or All-Rounder once established.
He's navigated through rough terrain and off road hacking as well as experiencing normal road work.
I haven't jumped him yet as he is having a growth spurt and is a little bottom high. I imagine like most of these Welsh ponies he will have a tidy pop in him and a bold attitude.
He would suit an experienced home (due to his age) where there is the knowledge available to confidently bring on a genuine young, green pony.
