Through absolutely no fault of his own, Presley is looking for his next little rider to continue his journey.
Presley is the cheekiest, happiest and most affectionate pony you could wish to meet. He absolutely loves attention, cuddles and being fussed over, and has never met a person he didn’t adore. If you’re looking for a pony to build a real partnership with, Presley is your boy.
He schools nicely with three lovely paces and has been jumping up to 90cm. He is incredibly willing and genuinely loves his work, but it is important to be honest that Presley is still a young, green pony who needs further education and production. He was backed at 4 years old and has been in and out of work since, although at one point worked intensely, recently he hasn’t and that is showing in his riding
Because of this, he is not a novice ride. He needs a confident, knowledgeable rider who understands young ponies and is happy to guide him through his baby moments. Presley takes a huge amount of confidence from his rider. Give him a brave, positive jockey and he will try his heart out for them.
Like many talented young ponies, he can become excited in his work and will still occasionally buck into canter. This is purely excitement rather than naughtiness or malice, but he therefore needs a rider who will happily sit quietly, laugh it off and ride through it rather than become worried.
Presley has all the ingredients to make a fantastic competition pony. He is quick, clever, athletic and learns new things incredibly fast. I can easily see him excelling in pony club activities, gymkhanas, hunting, showjumping or as an all-round fun competition pony.
I’ve owned Presley since he was just 5 months old, so this is an incredibly difficult sale. He deserves a home where someone can continue producing him and unlock the huge amount of potential he has. He is far too talented to spend his future standing in a field.
This isn’t a ready-made pony. This is a future prospect with a brilliant brain, a huge personality and all the potential in the world for the right child.
