It is with a heavy heart that we are offering our wonderful 16-year-old gelding for sale. Bought for my daughter, he has been an absolute saint but as she has moved away from riding completely and 3 other children to focus on we are looking for a 5-star home for him.
He is your typical Pony Club pony. He's attended rallies, camps and mounted games. He loves to pop a jump. He's always well behaved.
He is a dream to travel and load. He has looked after my daughter from ages 8-10 and is extremely forgiving. He has had my 6 and 2 year olds on him for lead rein and was again brilliant. His current loaner learned to canter on him and he has always been patient and kind.
He's got a great tempermant around children and is super safe. He could be surrounded by kids and he wouldn't be phased. Used to dogs farm machinery etc and doesn't worry him at all.
Bombproof in traffic and goes hacking alone every week with no issues.
Great with vets and farrier. He is barefoot and up to date with all vaccs and just had his dental check for the year with no problems.
On the ground he's great with children and can catch him and lead him no problem.
I believe in being completely transparent as to stop him being passed around or sold without people knowing him fully.
He has been diagnosed with Ems after having lami in a previous home however he has never needed medication with us and has had blood tests yearly and his levels are amazing.
He has soaked hay or haylage and is on low sugar feed and he's been managed great. We have never had to restrict turnout or keep him in so he is managed well.
He also occasionally cribs which is pure habit as he's been checked and he's fine. Vets think he picked it up when he was on box rest when he had lami in previous home but it doesn't cause him any issues and he doesn't damage anything.
To ride he is brilliant and will do what is asked of him and he absolutely loves to do his job. With children he's brilliant but he had a small adult on him and when he was really pushed he did a small buck in canter but nothing nasty and easily sat it's more of a little hop but I want to mention it. He's only ever done it twice when he was really excited.
He truly is the best boy and I trust him so much with children. We want him to be cared for and loved like he is with us.
He will come with everything we own for him incl all his rugs and tack. He's just had the saddle fitter in January so all fits as it should.
Let me know if I've missed anything or if you have any questions. Based in Bristol but could help with transport if local to us 😊
