Beautiful 16.2hh Dark Bay Mare – A Lovely All-Rounder with Plenty to Offer

A striking mare with three lovely paces, a wonderful personality and a genuine enthusiasm for her work.

Polly is a beautiful 13 year-old, 16.2hh dark bay Irish Sports Horse mare with plenty of presence, an affectionate nature and lots to offer the right rider.

She is a forward-going, responsive ride who enjoys her work and likes having a job to do. She moves beautifully, with three lovely paces, and is responsive to the leg without being strong. She has good brakes and is an enjoyable ride for someone confident and capable who appreciates a horse with a little personality.

Polly enjoys getting out and about and has experience of hacking, schooling, pole work and visiting farm rides. She enjoys variety in her work and would suit someone looking for a horse to enjoy a mixture of activities rather than doing the same thing every day. She hacks alone or in company and is very well behaved around all types of traffic.

She has been ridden in different environments, including open spaces, and enjoys getting out to explore. She is a forward-thinking mare who likes to get on with things but listens to her rider.

Polly has three attractive, balanced paces and is a lovely horse to watch working. She has been enjoying regular ridden work, including schooling and pole exercises, and shows a willing attitude.

She has also done some jumping, demonstrating her versatility and willingness to have a go. She would suit someone who enjoys a varied riding routine and wants to make the most of everything she has to offer.

One of Polly’s greatest qualities is her wonderful character. She is a genuinely friendly, affectionate mare who loves attention and being around people.

She has a real personality and is an absolute pleasure to have on the yard. One of her favourite tricks is manoeuvring herself into position for a good bum scratch, something she is particularly fond of!

She tries her best to please and forms a lovely relationship with those who spend time with her.

Polly would be best suited to a knowledgeable, experienced home with a capable and confident rider who will appreciate her forward-going nature and wonderful character.

She is a mare who thrives on regular work, variety and attention and has so much to offer someone looking to build a rewarding partnership.

Polly has a green passport and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Sadly, Polly is offered for sale due to a change in her owner’s circumstances and through absolutely no fault of her own.

She is a much-loved mare, and finding the right home is incredibly important. She deserves someone who will appreciate her personality, enjoy spending time with her and give her the same love and care she receives now.

A beautiful mare with a big personality, lovely movement and plenty to offer the right person.
