"Hettie" Grey Mare All Rounder

13.1hh Grey Connemara x TB mare, 7 years old.

A proper sport pony with a lovely attitude to work and plenty of scope. She has done a bit of everything this year, including arena hires, fun rides, beach rides, hunting, group lessons, pony club rally, hacking alone and in company, and a stay-away riding club camp. She is schooling over both SJ and XC fences up to 80cm. She came 3rd in her first ODE with a double clear in September and perfect behavior.

She is ridden in a snaffle for everything, has a very soft mouth, excellent brakes and naturally works in a lovely outline.

I had hoped my son would take her on, but he has decided he wants to focus on his other pony and I’ve been riding her most of the summer. She has done hacks and pony club rallies with my 8yo son but has been ridden mostly by me (small 5ft3” adult).

She did take a little time to settle initially, but now has excellent manners, is calm when out and about and really loves having a job to do and being around people.

She has given the occasional buck, never malicious, and this has become a rarity recently but full disclosure to find her the best home. She is a proper little competition pony and at only 7 years old would suit a competent rider to continue her education and get out competing. The pony club pony of the future!

Good to box, shoe (fronts), clip, traffic, farm, cows, etc.

She passed a 5-stage vetting in January and is fully up to date with vaccinations, teeth and physio. No quirks or vices. Lots of videos.
