"Ebony (Destinia)" Bay Mare All Rounder

Very sad sale, but I unfortunately do not have the time for her and she is currently wasted sat in the field.

Ebony is the sweetest mare, I have owned her since 9mo. She has so much personality, and loves to be around people!

Ebony was sent to be professionally backed in winter as a 4.5 yo, and did 6 months schooling livery. Ebony has done plenty of groundwork from a youngster, she was started with her future in mind! She has 3 established paces, has popped a few jumps with plenty of scope (makes a nice shape over a fence), hacked alone and in company. Ebony can have an occasional spook/ need reassurance from her rider when being brought back into work, but soon settles into a routine and is her big brave self again!

She’s very used to farm traffic and animals.

She is currently out of work and is being sold from the field, simply due to my lack of time.

She is currently barefoot, she’s very hardy and can be left unshod with minimal rugging. She is a very good doer.

Ebony is great to handle, tie up, groom etc she loves attention! She can be a little slow to load on the trailer, she’s never had a bad experience I think she’s just worked out she gets lots of snacks if she stalls!

She has bucked a couple of times under saddle due to excitement- very easy to sit to. She’s never nasty, but I do want an experienced home only. Never reared, or bolted. She is great in open spaces, very level headed with great brakes.

She’s very unspoilt, she has nice paces, a good jump and so much love to give. She really would excel in any sphere, whether on the hunting field or in a dressage arena. Ebony has been ridden bareback and in a head collar and is very sensible. She really loves to please her person, whether that’s with ridden work, or following around the field pooh picking.
