"Duke: rare find! versatile, talented, ultra quiet and honest dreamhorse " Roan Gelding All Rounder

Duke is a rising 5yo, 17h grey roan purebred Irish Draught gelding sired by the famous stallion WRS Sun Shine

He is currently schooling 2nd level dressage under the direction of a Grand Prix dressage rider.

This foundation has given him stunning, balanced paces and a snaffle mouth ideal for moving up the levels, or competing in working hunter classes. We’d love to watch him in Dublin RDS classes next year! 😍🐴

He stays balanced right under the leg, is not forward or lazy, and soft to the aids without being over-sensitive

He easily jumping 1.15m with room for more. Our rider is only 5’ tall, a petite 48kg/110lbs and able to jump him in a snaffle. He enjoys competing at training shows and behaves perfectly in busy arenas.

He is never fresh, sharp, nervous, bold, or strong before or after the fence regardless of the height.

He is sensible and forgiving enough to pop around 80s courses with an adult amateur, and athletic enough to easily compete in 1.15+ classes with someone who wants to produce him further.

Extremely honest to new fences, brave with water, natural obstacles and filler and will sort a bad distance without any opinion on it!

Duke was bought directly off his breeder as a two year old, and given a slow, correct education with our professional riders. He is an extremely settled, quiet, and self-confident horse with a huge heart and desire to please his rider.

He will greet you in the field every day, happily hacks alone or in company, polite to load, shoe, catch, plait, wash, etc.

He has the character of a lap dog and loves attention and hugs. Our riders are very fond of his friendly, mellow personality.

Duke is unbelievably brave around all kinds of machinery, tractors and traffic, even alone in new places.

He is safe for anyone to hack out and loves exploring new places. He is exceptionally gentle and kind-hearted for anyone to handle, and finds immense joy in pleasing his person.

We are certain he is the horse of a lifetime for a family or mother/daughter duo to have fun with, an adult or teen riding club member looking for a safe allrounder, or a professional looking for their next star for eventing, dressage, or working hunter and showing classes.

We do feel it is rare to find such a mellow, unflappable horse with such ability for the sport, and our team is immensely proud of Duke’s confidence and ability in so many disciplines.
