"Benji" Black Gelding All Rounder

Chunky 13hh, 11yr old traditional cob gelding. Full history known. Benji is an absolute delight to have on the yard, and the most loving cuddly boy. Very sad sale, genuine reason for sale as being too big for him. Benji is anyones ride, from kiddies on the lead rein, to competent children, or equally small adults. He steps up and down the gears well, can be a lovely plod out on the roads but is responsive to the aids and not your kick along type. He is never strong or silly. Benji is absolutely bomb proof in all traffic ie buses, tractors, caravans, lorrys, motorbikes, you name it! Hacks out alone or in company around a very busy seaside village in heavy traffic. He does take a little more encouragement when out hacking alone as can be looky, but never explosive or nappy. Benji works nicely in the arena. Would do a lovely dressage test. Has done this in the past but not currently. Has jumped previously at home. He’s super hairy in all the right places and has a lot of presence about him, he would do great out showing. Has previously been ridden by small children and was good as gold. No vices, never rears, bucks, naps, bolts, isn’t strong or silly. Good to clip, catch (sometimes needing a treat!), box, shoe, bath, for dentist etc. Up to date on teeth, wormer, feet, is currently bare foot and does well but has been shod in the past. Very good boy on the ground, can be slightly impatient when tied up but nothing nasty. Never sick or sorry, never had laminitis. He’s a good doer as most cobs are. Has been picked up and put down over the winter, he doesn’t change regardless of how often he’s ridden. Great with other horses, mares and geldings, if anything he gets a little left out at times. He is the nicest person, follows you round like a dog, and laps up all the attention he can get. Comes with tack and rugs. Home more important than price, very sad sale. Based Lincolnshire.
