Gwen is a 14.1h rising 5yo purebred Connemara mare with all Class 1 breeding sired by the prestigious Gwennic de Goariva. He is considered one of the best Connemara bloodlines in the world
She is a forward-going, eager pony who will always jump, regardless of the distance or rider mistakes. She is more ‘go than woah’ without being hot, sharp, or strong. She is focused and mature in hectic warm up rings.
Gwen always goes in a loose ring snaffle and is easy to adjust her stride when jumping, and soft to school in the contact
She is not spooky at all, very honest and brave in competitions and for cross country schooling
Gwen has jumped up to 1.10 with our rider and been competing in 80 and 90cm training shows. She is confident in combinations and has began practicing grids and gymnastics.
She is quiet and well behaved in new places, easy for anyone to catch, load, tie, shoe, plait, wash, etc.
She is a sweet, hardworking mare, with no mareish behaviour, who enjoys having a routine and staying in regular work
We think Gwen would do best in a home with one or two capable young riders who enjoy a jumper-type ride and going to shows/lessons frequently, who are looking for a competitive pony to move up the levels with.
