Lovely little Welsh D filly!

Brutally honest advert as I’d just like her to go to a suitable home where she can really shine!

Meredith is an adorable chunky filly with beautiful paces who is at an age where the fun work can begin. She is currently standing at around 14.2hh and should mature to be around 15hh. She unfortunately doesn’t seem to be settling overly well at my barn, and I have two other horses who also need a lot of work. Due to this and the expense involved with keeping three horses and building a house I have had to put this advert up.

Merri is used to being stabled, rugged and walks well on the lead, although I would say she still has a little bit of work to go before I’d call her completely halter-broken, I’m still working on her forequarter yields but everything else is coming on nicely.

She does pick up all four feet and recently has been introduced to standing tied, this was pretty uneventful and she didn’t seem to care. She can be a little bit spooky on occasion, and this is when the classic Welsh attitude comes out, so I would say a little bit of experience with the breed would be good. Merri is very intelligent and picks up new things that I teach her quickly, so I believe with the right person she’ll come on very quickly to being ridden.

She had her first season not long ago and we honestly wouldn’t have been able to tell if I hadn’t seen some on her white socks. She currently turns out in a mixed herd of mares and geldings, and has been easy to catch since we got her.

All of her bits (bowls, rugs etc.) are included in the price, homes will be vetted as this little mare deserves the world and someone who has the experience and time to put into her. Her price will increase as I do more with her.
