Create my profile now!If you are the right person for him I would consider allowing him to move locally within a 25 mile radius of the Petworth area BUT only after a two week trial where you come and ride him from our yard. He would also need to remain under the care of Sussex Equine Hospital where I work and I would expect to be able to visit occasionally to check all is well. The potential new home would be inspected and need to meet our standards in order to be approved. A signed loan contract will be needed to protect all parties.
Jamie is only suitable for hacking/light school work because he has some arthritic changes which means he can no longer work at higher levels. He is good in all respects (needs sedation for clipping) and very polite for such a big horse. Hacks alone or in company (not keen on big lorries but will stand quietly in a drive or gateway while they go by). He is currently being ridden 4/5 days a week and this needs to continue in order to keep him happy and supple. He enjoys good turnout all year round but will not live out 24/7.
He is not suitable for a novice rider/owner purely because he is a very large and sensitive horse.
Only available due to my temporary lack of sufficient funds following unexpected move.
