Beautiful welsh Section D Mare for sale. Registered with green passport, up to date with vaccinations, worming and farrier. No novices as this girl is a strong, big filly but equally is a totally unspoilt blank canvas, and needs someone with experience to continue her education and give her the best start.
Heartbreaking sale as had this girl since 6 months old, but circumstance forces sale. Standing at 14.1hh, should make 15hh as both parents were this height (dad slightly bigger) She has been fed correctly, so I see no reason why she should at least make that height. She will most definitely be on the stockier side, as her mum and dad are.
I’ve done everything I can to desensitise her to as much as possible, to make backing her as smooth and pleasant process for her as possible. She lunges, and is used to voice commands following them with no issues. She has also long reigned again with no issues, both with and without a bit in her mouth and was never strong or silly. She’s walked out in hand on roads, and never batted an eye lid at traffic or other sights. She has a lunge roller on, and a saddle with a girth and again showed a calm attitude and walked round quiet happily with it on. She has my very lightweight friend lean over and sit on her for a few minutes, and again no issues she quiet happily accepted her with no resistance. She picks up all four feet, and is good with the farrier. She can be a bit hesitant with her back left leg for the farrier (not sure why as she has had no issues/bad experiences) but with patience she picks this up no issues. She has had a bit and bridle in, again no issue whatsoever, and led and linger in the bit with no problems. She loves being groomed, and is good to bath. She can have a fidget round but never anything naughty. She has had her first ever clip (full clip with legs off), she was very good for her first time. She wasn’t too keen on by her head but after patience and treats, she allowed us to do this with no problems. She has a very trainable, adaptable attitude.
She does have mild sweet itch, but with supplements and a sweet itch rug this has been controlled with no issues. I do feel that the yard I am on worsens her as it is so bad with midges being near a canal. There is no escape from them in height of summer. I was on another yard with her, and didn’t have any signs apart from few bites on her mid line. I think on a yard that doesn’t have as big an issue with midges, she would not be bad at all.
I feel she has a lot of potential in the show ring/even driving. My main focus is to find her forever home, were she’ll be loved and cared for. Open to vetting. ...Read full description
