Gorgeous Fig is the ultimate safe leisure/pleasure cob alrounder with a golden temperament. He is a 14.3h 7 year old Irish cob. He is a stunning jet black colour with a white blaze and four white socks. He catches the eye where ever he goes with his gleaming coat and flowing silky feathers. He has such a kind genuine eye and is gorgeous inside and out. He has excellent conformation, clean limbs, and straight movement and just ozz’s quality as he is very correct. He would be show quality as he has the looks, build, presence, movement and temperament to excel in the ring. He really excels as a pleasure horse to take on sponsored rides, happy hacks, horse holidays and low level all-round activities. He’s a great size for everyone to ride as he has plenty of bone and substance to carry an adult yet is compact and steady enough for a child to manage coming off ponies. He would make a great mother/daughter share or family horse. He is a kind gentle friend who tries his hardest to please 100% of the time. Fig is excellent to hack both alone and in company. He is rock solid with traffic and regularity crosses the a47 roundabout where he doesn't bat an eye lid at lorries whizzing past him. He is very calm and sensible in open spaces, he will canter in any order within a group without getting strong or competitive; he doesn't mind being over taken. He is a nice medium paced ride when out hacking so you haven’t got to keep nagging with your leg but also you haven’t got to pull back so you can really enjoy your ride. He has been on lots of pleasure rides which he really does excel at, he gives other horses confidence as he is such a calm chap. He is so much fun on pleasure rides and always makes you smile and have a good ride. He is also great to ride at the beach, he loves going in the sea and having a good canter along the shore. He would be the ideal type to take on horse holidays and enjoy hours of exploring together.
Fig is schooled to a good basic level and has 3 nice paces .He has an amazing trot that flows beautifully and makes people stop and look at him. He is very comfortable to ride and is the type who has a leg at each corner. He is on the steady side of medium to ride in the school, so does take a little bit of leg but he is responsive to transitions. He is snaffle mouthed for everything. He gives his rider confidence and is a very safe honest boy to ride. He is very forgiving and doesn't mind if his rider loses balance. He would suit a competent novice as well as more experienced riders that just want a straight forward easy going ride. He would do a lovely dressage test with a little more fine tuning as he definitely has he paces and attitude to want to learn. He has just done more hacking than schooling with his previous owner.
Fig is very happy to pop a small jump but he isn’t a show jumper. He loves to pop logs out hacking and has done some fun xc schooling which he loved. He jumps into water, does steps, ditches, little hedges ect. He would be ideal for someone that likes to pop a line of jumps out on a pleasure ride. He has the potential to progress on to jumping more as he is nicely athletic for a cob, he just hasn’t done a great deal of jumping to date due to his previous owners preference in hacking.
Fig has a lovely quiet temperament. He is easy to handle and is very polite with manners to burn. He loves to be groomed and pampered and is always a very happy boy who puts a smile on your face. She is such a kind loving boy who wouldn't hurt a fly and can be trusted around children. He will live alone or in company and in or out, he is so laid back he just goes with the flow. He really will be your best friend. He’s a lovely calming influence on more stress horses on the yard. He would make the perfect leisure/pleasure horse, showing cob, or low level alrounder. He would also be an asset to a riding school or trekking centre. He must go to a 10* home as he is a very special boy, the type very hard to find.
