The Ultimate Equestrian Christmas Gift Guide 2023: Unwrap Joy for Horse Lovers!
Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
This big boy last raced in 2019, he has since been used for hunting on Exmoor and hacking.
He gets excitable on the hunting field, and as we have young horses to bring on, he is proving unsuitable.
George absolutely loves hacking, he is 100% on busy main roads as well as across open fields. He actually requires kicking along out hacking, although that being said he will not be sold to a novice as he is a big ex racer after all!
He is used to being ridden & leading out our youngsters. My mum has hacked him as the 1st horse she'd ridden in 18 months, and my novice brother in law has ridden him.
He is good to shoe & clip. He hasn't travelled much since leaving racing, so does need a little time with loading, especially into a trailer, but this improves the more he does.
He does have a few lumps & bumps due to his age and nature of being a jump racer for his younger years. He has also had a wind operation during his racing career.
None of these issues have bothered him whilst we have owned him.
Up to date with vaccinations.
