Attain (Dansili x Achieve) is a 2009, approx 16.1 gelding.
Attain is a complete star, and is as fun as they come! We honestly can't find the words to describe a horse who puts a smile on your face at every opportunity!
He's great to hack alone or in company, can be occasionally excitable when on limited turnout, but there is no malice in him and he is always snaffle-mouthed.
He moves brilliantly and has competed up to medium level with high 60 percentages! His movements include leg yield, shoulder in, half pass, counter canter and flying changes. His medium and collected paces are absolutely stunning, and he's produced some beautiful extension. He works on a contact in all three paces with a natural outline and consistent carriage.
He also has a brilliant, scopey jump and loves cross country! He has been to two 80 events and a 90, just having a small mistake in each, but absolutely loving it.
We took him barefoot over winter, and put shoes on him so that we could have studs to event. He would be happy to be barefoot or shod and has beautifully shaped feet. He is an absolute gem to have around the yard, and is easy to do in all ways. He does crib (hence his price), but not badly, and he maintains his weight. It is also easily prevented with electric tape.
Loads beautifully, stands quietly on the box, and tied next to it with a friend and a haynet, great to clip and groom (but he will try to distract you into cuddling him), stands like a saint for the farrier, dentist and chiropractor (all up to date). Has been ridden by teenagers, and gave one of our work experience students a lesson. Not a novice ride but has been ridden by novices. Will hack past anything and is good in traffic, though he can get a little fidgety if they go past too slowly as he's sure he has right of way! Doesn't look at road signs, nor worry about dogs.
Attain has had his stifles injected (not through lameness, just slight change in movement) and as such could do with a home involving slightly less jumping (riding club level should be fine). We want the absolute best for him, and have reduced his price from £7000 to reflect this. He would love a home where he could continue to have fun without too much pressure, he would love to go to fun rides etc.
Please know that it is an exceptionally hard sale for us, and if we hadn't had to retire two horses this year he wouldn't be leaving....Read full description
