Very smart eye catching ISH chestnut mare. She is very well breed, with Cavalier Royale bloodlines.
She is reluctantly for sale due to my daughter going to university in September. We have owned her for three years so know her inside out. Fergie is not mareish and is a very sweet natured horse with lots of character.
She is a very talented competition horse with scope to go much further then we have taken her but due to a lack of time and funds we have not been able to do what we had planned for her so is now wasted with us.
She would excel in any displince and is very quick against the clock, clearing fences from any angle, she is very switched on.
We have successfully competed, with double clears at BE90 but is more than ready to go out at BE100 with scope to go much much further.
We have show jumped her, unaffiliated, up to 1.15, and can jump bigger. Fergie doesn’t have a BS record and will move up the ranks very quickly. She has competed at Chatsworth and area eventing with pony club. Her previous owner hunted her frequently.
We haven’t really got going this season due to an array of reasons, with no fault to Fergie. However we have been doing some unaffiliated eventing and show jumping; always coming home being placed. We have also been working on her flat work at home and this is improving hugely. Last season she was scoring in the low 30’s and I’m sure she would now score in the mid 20’s with room for further improvement.
To get the best out of Fergie you have to be a confident competent rider so please no novices. She thrives on regular work but with that said you can leave her for a week and pick up where you left off.
She is good to load and travel and with the farrier. She will live with other mares or geldings. She loves to hack on down days and will go upfront or at the back.
This horse is very much loved so will only go to a 5* home with the right rider.
