Super sad sale of our superstar Rio.

Rio has a fabulous temperament and is easy to do in all ways.

He’s a super safe all-rounder, riding club type with no stable vices whatsoever. He is happy to live in or out, currently living out overnight and in during the day.

He loves hacking, currently on country lanes and is not fazed by large machinery, tractors, dairy wagons and also the odd pheasant from a hedge. Not spooky and is pretty much bombproof!

Will hack alone or in company, fine in open spaces, does not get hot or fizzy, and is a yard favourite with great manners.

Perfect behaviour for Farrier, Dentist, Physio and Saddler. Easy to catch from the field, he actually comes to you, and will load into Trailer or Box with no issues. Good to clip, bath and groom and genuinely does not have a nasty bone in his body.

Rio is an ex-racer, with really low mileage for a ten year old had many years happy hacking after retirement from racing before being retrained for eventing.

He has three lovey paces and excels at the dressage phase, scoring 32 at his first event! Currently tracking around 80 course, he is young in his eventing career but has the scope to go further given the time and investment in his development.

Rio would make a fabulous horse for someone coming off ponies who wants to step up with a good horse that has the grace and manners to assist. He is a horse with a big heart and never stops trying for his rider. Would suit Mother and Daughter share or keen young amateur looking to progress together up the classes.

Rio does not need to be ridden every day but does enjoy his work.
