8 year old 17h, Chestnut gelding.

Denver is the perfect Junior/Young Rider/U18 team horse for next season or would suit an adult wanting a straightforward, competitive horse

Easy to handle on the ground, shoe, clip, hacks alone and in company, never strong (is in a snaffle for all 3 phases) and incredibly uphill in his gallop meaning he takes very little setting up to a fence. Not strong. Goes in a rhythm. Now happy to sort himself out to a fence. He really is now the perfect horse and will I am sure go on to 4* in the future.

Denver is so smart and flashy on the flat that he will inevitably be up and around the leaders after the dressage and would do very well in pure dressage. Very balanced with good elevation and moment of suspension in his paces. His ability in this phase is highlighted by his results at his last 3 events this season. He scored 30.8 at Intermediate lying 7 th (double clear with planned time faults dropping him from 4 th to 11 th ) 24.0 at Novice lying 3 rd (double clear to finish 2 nd ) and then 32.5 to be lying 21 st out of 70 at 3* only 3.9 penalties behind the leader (with plenty of planned time due to the hard ground and still finished 20 th ) and 31.7 to be lying in the top 15% in the 3* at Aston.

He is incredibly well bred with Burgraaf and Contendor lines giving him ideal jumping breeding to jump those all-important clear rounds which he does far more often than not. The bigger the fence the better he jumps and he is tidy enough that he could definitely do some pure jumping as well.

XC he is now really proving to be confident and as reliable as any horse I have sat on, picking up the flags and locking on to his fence whilst really jumping out of his rhythm over the tables and wider fences. He has had a couple of blips on his record XC last season when he stepped up to 3* , started by a blinding reflection and me slipping off him backwards, but actually in hindsight, having to had to go back and build up again has been his making, having consolidated everything and he is now so confident that should a less experienced rider make mistakes he is ready to help them and now knows enough to sort himself out and carry them through. He is now an incredibly easy and reliable Intermediate/3* horse ready to show a rider the ropes and help them out. Has recently jumped clear at Twesledown Intermediate as well as 3*S at Nunney and Aston making them all feel easy

Denver is very easy to ride, safe and trainable with a brilliant brain and attitude. He really wants to please and work with his rider. Being a big horse, he has taken a while to develop muscularly but is now getting stronger and this is really starting to show in his results.
