Vannie is a stunning 16.2hh, 16yo, imported Belgium Warmblood mare.
Where do we start this mare is the definition of schoolmistress !!! A true Allrounder you name it she's done it and happy to keep on giving.
Van rides like clockwork on the flat. Easy to collect on the bridle , easy off the leg, very well established. Uphil , balanced and correct canter. Would go out and win some dressage classes tomorrow! She is not at all strong and is a straightforward ride.
Van will jump anything you ask, off any stride. She really does have a heart of gold. She is super forgiving and would be a true school mistress for someone needing ring experience. I’m currently jumping her 90cm/1m and have placed every time out, against ponies. I have also been attending the local riding club where she has been an absolute dream. She’s a steady ride around a course , unless you want to put your foot on the gas. She will do all the turns and loves her job. Vannie is super scopey and so careful, she has a textbook technique over a fence. Much enjoys jumping around bigger fences as well as being a great diesel horse.
Van has seen hounds and absolutely loves a day out hunting! She is also a dream to hack out and will go alone and in company. Reliable and sensible in traffic
Very settled and easy to take to a show. She knows her job and really is a pleasure to take out.
Vannie is perfect for the farrier, loads and travels like a dream. Good to catch, turns out with mares and geldings and will also turn out on her own. I have had her teeth and back done and just had a new set of shoes. She’s ready to continue our fun with a new jockey
Ideal mare for someone wanting to get out and have fun on something that knows and loves the job. She’s a super straightforward ride
The not so good point ....... Vannie can be a bit of a mare shall we say on the ground.
However, once you get to know her she’s actually the biggest softy ever and is no trouble to have on our yard. All of yard girls that range in experience levels handle her daily and she’s very much a much loved member of the yard. But she WILL try her luck - push her boundaries - occasionally growl, hiss and snap her teeth ..... there is no point in us sugar coating this - it's her she's a mare and has had this sass all her life
Van is also a proven broody having bred some super babies in her younger years .
This mare is very special to me and will only go the right home. I’m sure the first to see her will be as in love with her as I am. Absolutely no novice homes sorry
An ideal diesel / workhorse sort for a competent home to just get on and go
