Equestrian Advice & Guides All Disciplines
Savannah is schooled well on the flat with three balanced correct paces. She is snaffle mouthed and has a nice light contact. She is a nicely forward going ride and a lovely medium paced rhythm with good transitions. She makes her rider feel very safe and confident and is very straight forward and unflappable. She works beautifully between hand and leg for a more experienced rider into a consistent outline. Whereas she will do less for a lesser rider and just go round with a level head carriage. So she adapts well to different riders. My novice 8 year old step daughter is learning to get her rising trot on the lunge on savannah and loves riding her. She is very genuine and safe to ride at competitions also. She has done some intro and preliminary unaffiliated dressage with pleasing scores in the past with a 12 year old girl. She has lots of potential to excel at more dressage as she has lovely paces, rhythm and ridability.
Savannah enjoys to jump. She makes a lovely shape and is careful. She is really fun to jump being both honest and reliable. She is comfortably jumping 70/80cm courses. She will also step it down to jumping cross poles for more novice riders who are learning to jump. She will jump from trot or canter and remains safe without getting excitable. She loves xc schooling also where she jumps a variety of fences happily looking after her rider. jumps and logs looking after his rider. She is so much fun!
Savannah really excels at her hacking both alone and in company. She is really unflappable on the roads in traffic. She is used to lorries, tractors, motor bikes ect passing her. She is used as a lead horse/ baby sitter for younger more inexperienced horses. She isn’t the spooky type. She is also lovely in open spaces, very sensible but still lots of fun. On new routes it’s as if she has hacked their all of her life, just completely unfazed. She is the perfect speed to hack, just nicely forward going so you haven’t got to keep kicking her on. She will happily have a nice canter in any order. She is brilliant fun to ride on pleasure rides, she loves exploring the countryside. She always puts a big smile on her riders face!
Savannah is a lovely girl to have around with a super temperament. She is great to catch, lead, groom, tack up, bath, farrier, clip (just needs sedating to clip her legs). She gets malanders/salanders behind her knees which is easily managed by keeping them greased up. She will live in or out and just goes with the flow, currently comes in during the day and goes out at night. She is very low maintenance and cheap to keep. She has currently got full mane and feather with a trace clip but has in the past being fully clipped out from head to toe and hogged where she looked very smart, that’s just personal preference.
Savannah is very sadly with me on sales livery on behalf of her owner due to her daughter going to uni and her own circumstances changing. She deserves a 5* home who will love and enjoy her. She has lots of fun and confidence to offer her rider. Based in Ramsey Cambridgeshire, £7,500 to include tack and wardrobe, videos available.
