14.2 gelding looking for new ???? George is a 14 year old cob x tb gelding who i’ve owned for 7 years so extremely sad sale through no fault of his own, he just isn’t suited to uni life with me. Would suit an experienced lady looking for a forward going happy hack. Has previously done everything with me however exploring the woods, beaches etc is his favourite thing. Has 3 nice paces and will jump a small course of jumps however he gets extremely excited and fast to jump so absolutely no novices/nervous riders, he can stop (although he stops nicely from miles out ????) and take the mick if you let him. Doesn’t hot up in open spaces, isn’t strong etc has occasionally had a small buck in canter after a clip or when jumping but nothing big i barely feel it. Excellent to load, clip, shoe etc. He is the sweetest horse on the ground, excellent manners, fab to turn out and catch, easy to keep good doer just a fun characteristic little horse.
The not so good bits…He will take a while to settle, he most likely won’t be the same horse you view if you take him home, for a few weeks or so he may be fidgety and on edge but with time will settle and be an angel so for this reason if you’re going to return him within 2 weeks please do not ask to view him. I have had bad experiences with loaners doing this in the past. Can sometimes be grumpy to tack up in the stable only. He’ll pull faces but won’t ever kick. He only does it in the stable never anywhere else. Had everything routinely checked that’s just who he is. Is not a fan of tractors when hacking alone, he will plant and make you get off to lead him past if you can’t tuck in a gap. Is fine in company. Is fine with cars speeding past, bikes, dogs, motorbikes, lorries etc. He requires regular physio please pm for more info
