Stunning 7yo Welsh D
Shadow is a beautiful 7yo Welsh cob Mare. Stands at around 14.1hh/14.2hh. She’s evenly marked, black with 4 white socks and a white stripe. Stands for the farrier and has always been barefoot, never needed shoes on.
Very sweet temperament, has lots and lots of character and loves to be fussed and cuddled. She has not been rushed, she is well schooled and has 3 balanced paces, she has mainly competed at prelim level but has been out to her first novice. She loves to jump and pops a fence nicely. However, she has very little milage out jumping and has only really been jumped at home. SHE IS NOT FOR A NOVICE as she can be spooky like a typical Welsh. She is amazing in the stable, good to catch, groom & lunge. She can be a bit strong to handle. Hacks out on her own or with company. She does need sedation for the dentist. No vices. She is up to date with vaccinations. She is nervous to be clipped, she's not fond of the sound or the wire but once the clippers are on her she's fine.
She has loaded in the past but doesn’t load well and this will need some work, if she is going in a box regularly I do think she will get better at this but currently we do not have our own box to help her through this, she loads better into a trailer than a 7.5t box but she has never been in a 3.5t/van so unsure what she'd be like to load into one of these. Shadow needs a loving, knowledgeable home to continue her education and produce further. She will make a lovely family, pony club pony/allrounder and I think she will go far with time and patience.
She hasn’t been out much, only to our local competition venue due to her struggle loading and we have been lucky enough that it is close enough to hack to. Absolutely heart broken to be selling her, but she needs someone with more time and experience to bring her on because she could do anything with the right teacher. As a typical Welsh mare, she can sometimes be stubborn so she needs someone firm but patient. I am unfortunately growing too big for her which is the main reason for sale. She really needs someone who is wanting to go and have loads of fun and take her lots of different places now.
She is such a lovely pony, and really thrives off attention. She will come with a full wardrobe, tack, a range of rugs etc.
Only serious enquiries, her next home is very important to us, we want her to be happy and loved and to keep in touch to know how she is doing. Price is a guide price as home is absolutely the highest priority for us.
