Heart breaking sale due to daughter losing interest.
Joe is a stunning 9 year old, 16.2h thoroughbred who is looking for his forever home. Joe loves to be around people and enjoys cuddles and generally being fussed over.
Joe moves beautifully and has 31 British Dressage points competing to Elementary level. We bought him during lockdown in 2020 but due to COVID he hasn’t done affiliated dressage this year as we never really got going.
However, Joe qualified for the National School Equestrian Championships which he attended at the end of October 2021. He behaved impeccably during his stay at Champs and was handled by my 14 year old daughter with ease in a different environment with lots going on.
Joe has also attended area pony club dressage this summer as well as pony club flatwork rallies. He is easy to deal with when away from home at competitions and is good to handle in general.
Joe is ok to hack in company and will lead the ride, however, he is not very brave on his own.
He behaves brilliantly in open fields and never gets strong or silly. He finds the beach exciting but once his first canter is out of the way he can be ridden on the buckle end going away from and returning to home. As I say he never gets strong and is ridden in a snaffle always.
He is up to date with his teeth, back and vaccinations. He is good to catch, load and with the farrier, ok to clip (but needs some sedation to do around his head).
Joe will only go to a 5-star home with a competent and sensitive rider as he is such a sweetheart.
Tack and rugs are available separately. Saddles have recently been checked by the McTimoney Chiropractor.
