Holly has previously show-jumped up to 1.10m and shown great potential to go through the higher levels. On the flat, she has three lovely, eye-catching paces and has been to a couple of local dressage competitions, where she has scored over 60% and could go further with a little more practice. She has also proven to be bold and brave in cross-country schooling.
Holly loves to hack out and although she prefers to have a friend with her, she will hack out on her own with a bit of encouragement. She is happy to both lead and follow, and will happily canter at the back. Not spooky or phased by traffic, Holly will happily nanny those who are nervous or naughty.
Holly is impeccably mannered on the ground and absolutely loves to be fussed. Good to shoe, box and clip and is in no way mareish towards other horses or people. Occasionally she can be difficult to catch, but a carrot or bucket of feed will usually do the trick! She has clean limbs, has her teeth regularly done, is fully vaccinated and wormed.
Absolutely no novices. Whilst she is largely well behaved, Holly needs a firm rider who is not afraid to show her who is boss as she can be testing at times. However, she is never nasty and is just a quirky, athletic horse who enjoys to be kept in busy – she would thrive in a home where she is regularly challenged and kept busy. Holly would suit a competent rider looking to compete and have some fun.
With my university commitments and living away from home, Holly has had a relatively quiet life in the past few years and now work commitments mean that Holly can no longer be given the time and attention she deserves.
