FOR LOAN TO STAY ON CURRENT YARD, NR MARKET HARBOROUGH.
As I am due to go to Vet school in London in September, I have made the extremely difficult decision to put my Leo up for loan.
Please no day dreamers, time wasters, hoof kickers or joy riders.
Leo is a striking 11 year old 16hh, lightweight bright chestnut (orange, very orange) TB gelding. He is good to shoe, clip, load on both trailers and lorries and hacks alone and in company. Lives out 24/7 during summer months and stabled at night during the winter. As he has trained but never raced, he is suitable for certain RoR classes. He has competed in pure dressage UA and scores consistently over 65% in prelims. With straight moving, floating paces he is correct enough for showing and always receives complimentary comments from judges when out competing. He has hunted with the Pytchley and is sensible enough to gate shut and has done on several occasions. Also been out with the farmer’s blood hounds, proving to be a forward but safe ride and bold over hedges. Competed at hunter trials and team chasing, goes first or last. Schooled up to novice cross country, he is very brave (far braver than me) through water, over ditches and down steps, jumping corners and combinations. He has evented up to UA 100 with dressage scores in the low 30s and a number of double clears under his belt. Always calm and relaxed at an event, taking each phase in his stride. Show jumping is my passion and Leo has taken me up to competing BSJA at 1.15m, with scope to go higher with our first Foxhunter shortly. Currently schooling over 1.20m at home. Would be suitable for a competent novice to take up the levels or a competitive small adult wanting some rosettes.
No vices. Loves human company, cuddles, carrots, apples, polos etc and is always willing to please. Happy to be left on his own in the field or leave his best friend who he shares the field with. Leo has had multiple riders over the years whilst I have been studying to help maintain fitness and improve schooling and always leaves a smile on their faces.
Fantastic opportunity for the right person.
