This is a heartbreaking sale of my best friend, I just simply do not have the time or money to do him justice at the moment. Please no more timewasters or joy riders, this is already difficult enough as it is.
16.2hh, 10 year old, Brown, Thoroughbred gelding. Laid back and easy to do. Great to load and travel, good to catch and clip. Hacks alone and in company, 110% in traffic of all kinds, articulated lorries and hedge cutters don’t phase him. Settles in wherever he is. Currently stabled next to a busy working farm where we encounter lots of heavy traffic and livestock. A real sweetheart, will stand for hours to be pampered and prodded with no complaints. I hack him on the end of the buckle no problem, forward thinking and off your leg – not sharp but not a novice ride. Does need regular work if kept in during winter but other than that, he’s the same horse day in day out.
Competed BE 80 and 90 in previous home being placed. Has since participated in pony club rallies, riding club, unaffiliated dressage and show jumping, fun rides as well as cross country clinics. He is an allrounder and is happy to do whatever is asked of him, however his strength is really in his flatwork. Three balanced, straight and floaty paces on the flat, working in a consistent correct outline with a lovely rhythm and nice lateral movement.
Would make an ideal ladies dressage/ riding-club horse as he is easy to do and has a hard-working attitude with a need to please. He is a lot of fun, a great character and enjoys his adventures. I have spent hours out on hacks and he loves every minute of it. He is up to date with teeth, back treatments and all vaccs.
A real quality horse that has been well looked after. Ror eligible, was in training but never raced. Nicely put together with muscle in all the right places. Will live in or out but has always been stabled at night during the winter months, a good doer for a thoroughbred.
His only vices are he cribs after he has eaten and has a parrot mouth, neither of which affect him in anyway (dentist can confirm). His merits far outweigh these superficial vices. In an ideal world I would keep this horse forever but alongside my other commitments he isn’t being enjoyed as much as he could be. I know this horse inside out and he hasn’t got a nasty bone in his body.
Please ONLY SERIOUS enquiries - 5* long-term home is essential for this truly lovely boy.
