**We have now found a fantastic loan home for Ellie where she is on trial to make sure everyone is happy**
Ellie is a rising 9 year old pony who we have owned for the past 4 years. She has been my sons pony from lead rein to now confidently competing in showjumping up to 55cm and did brilliantly at her first pony club dressage league this winter. They are pony club members and together this pair have had lots of fun doing a bit of everything including games, cross country, showjumping and dressage. She even came on holiday to Wales and hacked up in the Brecon Beacons mountains last year. My son has also recently started liberty work with Ellie which they both enjoy and do well at - she is a clever little pony. Unfortunately he really is getting too big for her now and has reluctantly admitted that it is time to move up a size!
She has the best, cheekiest personality and is a much loved part of our family, hence loan not sale. She tries her best at everything you ask of her but she can get excited and isn't always a straightforward ride. She sometimes will put in a cheeky buck or two so a confident rider is a must. My son loves riding her despite her tricks and they have had lots of success together. He has grown into a confident jockey with a fantastic seat and credits this to Ellie!
Having said this, she is a safe hack, used to all sorts of traffic and open spaces and I trust her completely in this situation.
Show jumping is her favourite and we would prefer it if the rider matched this. She does best when ridden regularly, so we are looking for an active home that can take advantage of her enthusiastic nature. She has done PC camp and lots of shows and rallies and takes it all in her stride. We are out most weekends competing or at pony club and she is relaxed travelling and at shows.
She is good to catch, load, with the farrier, physio and vet and to clip (with a little patience at the front end). She is a small pony so while she has never had laminitis, she does need restricted grass. She is used to wearing a grazing muzzle when necessary. She also wears her fly mask year round in the field as she has had one incidence of uveitis and the vet advised this as a precaution.
I have lots of photos and videos available. She is fit and will be out competing still with my son until we find the right loan home for her, so happy for people to come and see her at shows and rallies. She will only go to the best home, close enough for us to visit, and we will have a loan contract in place.
