    Sport Horse Bay Mare 10 years 14.3 hands

    New Eventing home sought for Maisey May V, 14.2 Passport height (not lifetime cert) 1998, Bay Zangersheide (Belgian WB) / TB, 2009, based Hertfordshire.

    An absolute contender for Badminton Grassroots Championships or competitive PC qualifying team member. Competes at BE 100 comfortably with our daughter, would happily drop down to 80 /90 to build a new partnership and step back up to 100 and beyond, 48 BE foundation points.

    Maisey has 3 correct paces with a consistent contact recently scoring sub 30 dressage. She is naturally athletic, energetic and balanced with huge scope. She is sure footed, covering the ground with a great gallop and is a safe, confident and bold jumper. She has a passion for jumping & her record demonstrates this, in 2018 she only knocked 1 pole in the season and 2019 she consistently went clear at BE 100. Cross Country is her favourite phase, she has the heart of a lion and an ability to sort her stride out, looking after her rider. She is quick and covers the ground so generally makes time although through rider error her record will show some time faults. She has jumped consistent double clears and is happy with man made ditches, steps, drops and water.

    We have had Maisey in our family for the last 4 years and are only her 2nd owner, the person we bought her from bred her. Our daughter was moving off a 13.2 pony at 12 years old wanting to event from 80 upwards. As a combination, they have both learnt so much and had the most amazing time together, moving up the levels and competing at BE 90 then 100 and 105 this year. We would love Maisey to enjoy another long-term home with a family who are already out there competing, looking for their next step . Maisey needs a confident and competent jockey who will enjoy competing as much as she does.

    We are active members of the Pony Club and Maisey has been to Camp for the last 4 years, competed in all 3 disciplines at Regional and Area level, was part of the winning team at Regional eventing in 2017 at Keysoe. She has also done many NSEA events, eventer challenge competitions, including Blenheim 100, BE training clinics and enjoyed Norfolk beach holidays.

    Key bits;

    Loves life and enjoys competing, knows her job, is easy to handle (is managed by our daughter who is now 15)

    Good to hack alone and in company not spooky, strides out with an active walk.

    Well behaved to catch, shoe, clip, plait & load (travelled on both a trailer and lorry alone and with company)

    Stands at events for long periods, happy to wait her turn on or off the lorry

    Beautiful, healthy, happy, good doer turned out every day (never lived out 24/7)

    Can be turned out with geldings or mares but like most would rather not be on her own.

    Looks after herself and is not accident prone, we have never had a vet out to her

    Very sad sale due to our daughter being given the opportunity to ride 2 other horses and running 3 is not doable for us without compromising her.

    We respect & adore Maisey and owe her so much, (as a mum I never worry about my daughter coming home safe) so will only let her go to 5* home, preferably a competition yard where she can continue her Eventing career.

    She deserves and will only go to the very best long-term home and would suit a small adult or kind and competent teen to enjoy aiming for Grassroots and RC eventing, she is up to date with current Flu vaccination rules and teeth.
