I'm cautiously putting out feelers for a loan home (possible sale to a 5* home) for Thumbelina aka Bumble Bee.
Thumbelina is a 2 year old Shetland cross filly. She is in training to become a PAT (Pets as therapy) pony. To this end, she has visited a nursing home on many occasions and attended a summer fete where she behaved impeccably. It would be wonderful if her new owner continued this as she has a lot to offer in this sphere. She is partially toilet trained and has only ever had one accident indoors!
Thumbelina leads well and can long rein from a head collar. As to be expected from a youngster, she can be excitable and forward going sometimes. Nothing nasty, just a pony keen to learn about the world and get going! She has wonderful, floaty paces, despite being slightly cow hocked behind. And her tail carriage is VERY high when she is showing off her elevated trot!
Thumbelina will need a kind and experienced home, where she will be treated with patience and kindness. She had a bad start in life, coming to me in February terribly underweight, with rain scald and afraid of humans. She has blossomed beautifully in the last ten months and this is an absolutely heart breaking decision to part with a much loved pony.
She currently lives with 2 pet sheep and will live in or out. She is used to dogs, sheep and farm machinery.
If you think you could give Thumbelina the home she deserves please message me in the first instance, telling me a little about yourself and the home you have available for this sweet pony. Thank you. (Hereford)
