I have had this mare about 4 years. She is a sensitive soul that comes across mareish at times but the more you know her and the more of a routine she has , the better she is, and the more respect you get for each other. if you don't know her and invade her space she doesn't like it. More so when you go into her stable. She loves her stable. She finds it a safe place for her so therefore is protective over it. I can go in and brush her and muck out around her. But I wouldn't do that while she's eating. I respect that it's her space and let her eat. I believe she may of had some kind of trauma in the past so a definite 1 to 1 is what she needs. She's genuinely worried so a bit jumpy, but a lovely put together mare who does well inhand and would do better the more she does but I don't have the time.
Honey was backed lightly and hacked around my yard before having 2 foals so would need the ground work and backing again.
I jumped on her the other week but needs the long reining to understand to go forwards. I think she would be a very nice ridden horse and would not look out of place in affiliated classes.
No dealers or anyone looking to sell on. No begginers/ novices. It's not fair on her. Please only enquire if you have the time for this lovely girl.
Good to shoe, jabs, teeth, travel,
A little worried about traffic.
If in a good routine she will come running to the gate to come in.
