Rialta is a pink papered, 17.3h Hanoverian mare which has been in the same home for the last five years. She came to me having been used as a broodmare by Haras du Payroll in France, where she produced two beautiful foals. Rialta is a powerful, bold mare who is not phased by much. She is not spooky and despite of her size, she is always ridden in a snaffle. She is a forward ride.
Rialta has an impeccable dressage breeding and floaty, expressive paces to match. Her flatwork is well-established with lateral work and natural flying changes. She would definitely do well in pure dressage and turn judges' heads and with a bit more work, could be very competitive in this discipline.
Rialta has been mainly used for show jumping, proving very bold. She is not phased by fillers, water trays, etc. She is schooling nicely around a 90cm - 1 m course at home and takes you to a fence. Pandemic has prevented her from going out to compete, however she has been out to arena hires where she behaved very well and just got on with her job. She has XC schooled over novice and intermediate fences on her first outing and was not bothered by ditches or water. She covers the ground very well.
Hacks alone and in company. Can go first or last and is excellent in traffic. Stands patiently to be groomed, clipped, shoed etc. She is very polite on the ground and is very much a gentle giant. Loads and travels well in lorries and trailers.
Unfortunately, she is too big for the petite, amateur lady rider. She would suit an experienced rider who does not mind a sassy mare. Rialta is 15, however due to being broodmare in the past, she is very low mileage for her age and has plenty to offer to a suitable rider.
This is a heartbreaking sale of a much loved horse. Absolutely no dealers please. 5* home required.
